I was very excited to do my assignment on Christmas Day since it was to be an aerial shoot. My client, a shipping company, would have all its vessels docked during that day only. We rented a R44 raven II helicopter piloted by Capt. Layton Howel (an American). I did the photography while Molog (my videographer) did the video. One hour was long enought to shoot various sights of Cebu from the city to the beaches. You may check out my pictures at www.flickr.com/photos/carlitoso
What a memorable Christmas!!! :):):)

Visiting Bacolod for the Masskara Festival 2008 with the Images Camera Club was really fun and exciting. This event was conceived in 1980 to add color & gaiety to the city who is celebrating its charter day. Its a celebration of victory over tragedy. here are some photos to share.

It was on tuesday afternoon at around 430 pm that I arrived at Bridges Saloon at JY square where I was shooting the models-clients of Francis, a hairstyling specialist and make up by Gretchen Uy. There were six models and they were styled in different looks and make up. (Here is the group shot with Francis Lee)

Its always great to see old and new faces gather and talk about photography. Last monday we had our monthly meeting (June) at Sacred Heart Center where 3 Images members talked about Wedding Photography-Roland Pascua (pre-nuptial), Jim Ubalde (wedding) and I (about the business side of wedding photography). This is to encourage members who want to try or become a wedding photographer. Its not all glamour but hard work but as Roland said you just have to enjoy
Our next contest theme is RED. And, SM is sponsoring a photo contest for Images members (Lifestyle at SM Northwing). Pictures shall be in black and white (register now).

It’s Erwin Lim’s (Images Camera Club President) birthday today and I went diving with him with some new divers. First, we went to Sta. Rosa Sanctuary where we can see all the fishes and corals. Our next dive was infront of Costabella where an airplane was placed to be made into a sanctuary. it was a year ago that I got my PADI license for scuba diving and it’s only now that I made a dive (since I want to test the Canon G9 underwater casing) which arrived the other day. (will show you some photos in my flickr.com in a few days) www.flickr.com/photos/carlitoso
